Blocks

Interactive installation. Vilnius Light Festival, 2025. Vytis Gymnasium, Vilnius. Original title: Blokeliai

A school’s glass-block wall became a game.

Visitors scanned a QR code, joined a live queue and played a falling-blocks game on the building from their own phones.

Live footage, Vilnius Light Festival 2025. No sound.

Facts

9 games at once, one in each window

80 people in the queue (approx.)

20 to 30 minutes of waiting to play

How it played

The school’s glass blocks already worked like pixels, so the wall became the screen.

Visitors used the phone in their pocket as the controller: move, rotate, drop. The queue watched the building, which made the wait part of the show.

In February 2027 Blocks goes to Llum BCN in Barcelona, adapted to a new building. It can be adapted to yours: see how festival commissions work. For a launch or a stand, see how brand projects work.

One block per person: nine playing, about 80 waiting.
